Clydesdale Rowing Club Regatta

May 8, 2011

Members of GSSMS were out and about on Saturday to give support to the Clydesdale Rowing Club. on the Clyde in Glasgow.  It was amazing to be so close to some of the boats which totally dwarfed the boats that we are used to sailing.  Many were made from fibreglass but there were a few traditional wooden boats on the water. The day was filled with a number races from the different classes of boat which ranged from Scull to eights and coxless fours.  If the racing wasn’t your thing then there were plenty of other activities to keep you entertained.  My favourite was the meringues and coffee.
